I’m a full time writer, a long time volunteer medic in a rural community, and I’ve sat with people, including friends, family, and strangers, as they died. From that background I’ll say this is one incredible piece of writing. You not only bared your soul, you brought beauty and an uncommon understanding to the world.

“I am happy" was a big surprise in this story, but really: who could hope for anything more than that as they faced death?
